WLF to support President

The Workers Liberation Front has decided to support President Mahinda
Rajapaksa at the Presidential Election said its leader D. Iiyadurai.
It is during President Rajapaksa's time that many development
projects were implemented in the up-country. This service should be
continued. Therefore, the Worker's Liberation Front has decided to
support him, he said.
He is fulfilling his promises by implementing several development
projects. The WLF leaders met Minister Maithripala Sirisena and made
arrangements to meet the President to discuss issues pertaining to
plantation workers.
The Bank of Ceylon will hold a two-day seminar for entrepreneurs to
develop industries in Jaffna.
The Bank of Ceylon's Northern Region General Manager said that on the
first day nearly 50 entrepreneurs will participate.
TNA Parliamentary Group leader R. Sambandan has met President Mahinda
Rajapaksa at the Temple Trees. It is reported that they have discussed
the forthcoming Presidential Election. Meanwhile, UPFA General Secretary
and Education Minister Susil Premajayantha has sent individual
invitations to all TNA parliamentarians.
Tamil farmers in Keviliyamadu are being resettled after 25 years.
Keviliyamadu is a village in the Batticaloa District. Eastern Province
Chief Minister summoned a meeting where it was agreed to provide
security to these farmers.
A ten-member committee consisting of Tamils and Sinhalese have also
been formed by the Chief Minister to discuss if any problem arose among
both communities.
