Browns - BattMobile now islandwide

Browns Exide launched its 25 fully operational BattMobiles to provide the public with 'on the spot' assistance for all their vehicle battery needs.

The BattMobiles will be operational in 22 Cities islandwide from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. These include Colombo, Allawwa, Aluthgama, Ambalanthota, Ampara, Battaramulla, Delgoda, Dikwella, Embilipitiya, Homagama, Ja-ela, Kalutara, Kandana, Kandy, Kotte, Kurunegala, Moratuwa, Narammala, Negombo, Peliyagoda, Yakwila and Ratmalana.

The BattMobile teams can stabilize any brand of its battery irrespective of manufacturer and type.

Browns believes in always adding value to its customers and has continued to offer innovative solutions through services such as the BattMobile and the Powermart Service Centers.

The Browns Powermart Service Centers, which are in operation at three locations, namely Galle, Colombo and Kurunegala, provide Exide customers a world-class service not experienced by Sri Lankan motorists earlier.

These centres make available the entire range of batteries and accessories from automotive, non-automotive and motorcycle categories. Exide commands almost 50 percent of the market share in the automobile battery market in Sri Lanka.

As a category the Browns Group owns almost 60 percent of the automotive battery market in Sri Lanka. Exide batteries are also available through 400 dealer outlets islandwide.

Ideal Motors sole distributor for Mahindra

Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), one of India's leading automotive manufacturers with a growing global presence, appointed Ideal Motors (Pvt) Ltd. as its sole distributor in Sri Lanka. The Mahindra range of vehicles sold in Sri Lanka includes the Scorpio and Bolero SUV and Pick Up range, the Maxx Maxi Truck and the Mahindra Alfa three-wheeler.

The partnership will result in the formation of a new company known as Ideal Motors (Pvt) Ltd. which will retail Mahindra vehicles in Sri Lanka.

These have been very common expectations and much awaited requirements by three wheeler drivers as they add to the safety of the driver and passengers.

Fitted with 200cc, 8.60 bhp engine, TVS king will negotiate any terrain on the island. This engineer offers a quick pick up and more pulling power. The TVS King, does not generate excessive noise and vibration as in conventional three wheelers. TVS King has proven a fuel efficiency of 30 km per litre or more.
