Global Entrepreneurship Week

Global Entrepreneurship Week - an initiative to inspire young people in relation to entrepreneurship and explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.

From November 16-22, 2009 the week comprised a range of activities - from large-scale competitions to networking events - that hope to inspire young people to embrace innovation and creativity and to connect them to people that can help kick-start their businesses.

Juan Ramon Nufiez of Argentina was the winner of the YBI Entrepreneur of the Year 2009 competition.

The Entrepreneur of the Year Awards took place in London at a dinner hosted by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales on November, 16, which was attended by 80 significant supporters of the Prince's Youth Business International (YBI ) Network. Director General, Hambantota District Chamber of Commerce Azmi Thassim participated in the event representing the Youth Business Sri Lanka (YBSL).
