Milcris breaks ground in Sri Lanka

Milcris (Pvt) Ltd., came to the country at a time it was much needed

President Mahinda Rajapaksa called upon the Sri Lankan diaspora to
invest in the country and to help in the vision of the country, Milcris
(Pvt) Ltd., CEO, Milan de Silva told a press briefing at the Hilton
Colombo yesterday.
He said that the company is ready to take on work in the country with
the dawn of peace. With the opening of the Northern and the Eastern
provinces under a firm and stable Government, the time is opportune for
Sri Lanka to take its place as a leading Asian economy.
"Although we may not have much scope as we have in Oman, we are quite
pleased to be a part and it will also help to save a great sum of money
flowing out of the country on these activities", de Silva said.
He said that Sri Lanka has many opportunities and by exploiting it
the country could reach its goals. Milcris has an annual turnover of
over Rs.400 million, while its staff remits over Rs.250 million
annually. Milcris has made it known that Sri Lanka is synonymous not
only with housemaids, but also with dedicated, qualified professionals
who can hold their own with any internationally qualified quantity
surveyor.
