HNB a close win

Hatton National Bank beat Seylan Bank by 69 points to 62 in a women’s ‘A’ Division Delmege Super League Basketball Game played at Otters Aquatic Club Courts yesterday.

Seylan Bank was in the lead by 36 points to 25 at half time.

Kumarin De Silva was the top scorer for the winning team with 21 points. Anjalee Ekanayake’s contribution was 16. Rupeka Wickremasuriya got 12 points.

Pramila Fernando collected 21 points for Seylan Bank. Inoka Sandamali obtained 14 and Sanduni Bollegala 10 points.

Hatton National Bank defeated SriLankan Airlines by 80 points to 60 in Men’s ‘B’ Division Delmege Super League Basketball game played at the same venue.

Hatton National Bank was in the lead by 38 points to 36 at half time.

Rasan Ruwanga made valuable contributions for Hatton National Bank team by collecting 23 points.

Roshan Fernando scored 15 and Chalinda Fernando 13 points for the winning team.

Sanjaya Wanasekara bagged 29 points for SriLankan Airlines while Jene De Silva’s contribution was 12.

Delmege Super League Basketball Tournament is being conducted by the Mercantile Services Basketball Association and sponsored by Delmege Forsyth and Co.
