Commonwealth Remembrance Day service
The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Nairobi organized the
Commonwealth Remembrance Day Service Program on November 8 at the
Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery at Ngong Road, Nairobi. Religious
leaders of the Roman Catholic and Protestant sectors - Islam, Jewish,
Hinduism, Sikhism and Buddhism prayed for late War Heroes.
A number of Heads of Missions, Chief of Armed Forces - Army, Navy,
Air Force and Police participated at the ceremony and prayed for those
who may be in distress because of the war. Representatives from more
than 30 countries attended. |
