Myanmar Head inquires to help A'pura development

Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council of Myanmar
General Than Shwe and the Myanmar State delegation visited Anuradhapura
Saturday. The Myanmar leader was greeted by North Central Provincial
Chief Minister Berty Premalal Dissanayake and Governor Karunaratne
Divulgane.
He paid homage to the sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi and Ruwanweli
Chetiya, amidst religious rituals and observances administered by
Atamasthanadhipathi Ven Dr Pallegama Sirinivasa Nayaka Thera and
Ruwanweli Chetiyaramaya Chief Incumbent Ven Pallegama Hemarathana Nayaka
Thera.
The Myanmar entourage made inquires from the prelates with regard to
the ways and means in which they could assist the religious affairs
development in the Anuradhapura sacred city.

exchanged mementos in commemoration of the visit.
The Myanmar Head of State was offered a sapling of the Sri Maha Bodhi
by Atamasthanadhipathi Ven Dr Pallegama Sirinivisa Nayaka thera.
