Police get prosecution training

Police officers who had gone through the prosecution course can carry out their duties effectively for the general public understanding their needs and requirements. Around 41 police officers from the Kalutara and Panadura Police Divisions who have successfully completed the two week Prosecution course conducted by the Police Crime Division received their certificates at Police Headquarters yesterday.

Man nabbed treasure hunting

A man in robes searching for valuable artifacts inside a temple in Waduruppu, Ambalantota was arrested on Sunday evening. The suspect had also damaged several archaeological treasures, police said. Ambalantota police had nabbed the man while digging for artifacts at the Theraputhabaya Rajamaha Viharaya in Waduruppu.
