Thiloshini wins Dressage competition
The Premadasa Sports Foundation organized Dressage Competition was
held recently recently. This was the second event on the run up to the
National Dressage Championship which is due to complete at the end of
the year.

Thiloshini Abeysekera won the adult event comfortably pushing
Prameesha Abeysekera and Arosha Jayasundara to second and third
positions.
It was also notable to see few riders from S. Thomas' College
Gurutalawa competing in this event and winning few places. S. Thomas'
College is the only school which has taken Horse riding as a curricular
activity.
As a member of the Sri Lanka Equestrian Association the Premadasa
Sports Foundation is intends on introduce and promote equestrian
disciplines to Sri Lanka.
With the participation of 20 competitors this event saw some new
faces, a competition from a new quarter. S. Thomas' Gurutalawa Riding
Club participated for the first time with 9 riders.
The results are as follows:
GROUP A- Child riders:- 1. Shenali Wijesinghe, (Premadasa Riding
School), 2. Ranul Perera, (S. Thomas' College, Gurutalawa), 3. Heshan
Rajapaksa, (St. Thomas College, Gurutalawa)
GROUP B- Young riders:- 1. Kashmira Murugan, 2. Tripti Mathews, 3.
Manoj Madushan, (S. Thomas College, Gurutalawa)
GROUP C- Young riders (Preliminary Level):- 1. Yusuf Abdul Hussein,
2. Tharindu Lakmal, (S. Thomas College, Gurutalawa), 3. Kiho Tanaka
GROUP D- Adult riders:- 1.Thiloshini Abeysekera, 2. Prameesha
