More dental surgeons to be recruited

The Healthcare and Nutrition Ministry will recruit another 2500 nurses and 106 Grade 11 dental surgeons, Healthcare and Nutrition Ministry spokesman said.

He said the application to recruit nurses will be published in the Government Gazette on October 23. Males and females below the age of 30 with Advanced Level Science stream qualification are eligible to apply for the training. During the past few years the ministry recruited over 15,000 nurses and they underwent training at different Nurses Training Schools.

According to the spokesman applications are invited to recruit 106 Grade 11 dental surgeons (subject to approval from Management Services Department) to the Health Services Department by the order of Healthcare and Nutrition Ministry Secretary (as per letter dated June 25, 2009 of the office of the Cabinet of Ministers) from eligible candidates.
