The sun salutation is an ancient practice of the people in India done
when they worshipped the sun God. Later it was included in Yoga as a
warm (-) up exercise. To date there are temples dedicated to the sun God
all over India.
Ancient Indian people had a deep sense of affection towards the sun,
moon, trees, water and nature. Even mother nature returned the favour
and treated them well. The people led simple lives.
By ill-treating nature, we have had to face various illnesses as well
as natural disasters. As long as mother nature is protected she too
protects us. Yoga is a method of healing and balancing both body and the
mind.
However, there are some who should not attempt Yoga exercises. They
are,
* pregnant women
* Post-surgery patients
* Hernia patients
* Heart patients
* Women immediately after child birth
The best time for Yoga is morning or evening and do not consume food
or drink till after one hour after exercising.
Bathing till one after passed is also not suitable.
If you are after a heavy meal exercise after four hours and if after
a light meal, exercise after one hour.
The steps will appear next week
