US envoy addresses AMCHAM AGM

The 17th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the American Chamber of Commerce was held recently, at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel. The newly appointed American Ambassador to Sri Lanka Patricia A Butenis was the Chief Guest. Moji Akingbade was re-elected President of AMCHAM.

Ambassador Butenis, told AMCHAM members that this was a historic time for Sri Lanka and AMCHAM Members, as the end of the conflict will bring with it many economic opportunities. She said that she and her colleagues at the US Embassy will work closely with AMCHAM members and the rest of the business community to ensure that Sri Lanka delivers on its economic promise.
