The Airport Services office of Emirates at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake was moved to a more spacious location recently on the first floor of the new Departure Concourse.

The new office occupies 1,680 sq. ft., more than double the space of the previous office, and has several new features including a separate visitors' reception area and its own conference room.

The opening of the new office was attended by several VIPs including Airport and Aviation Services Chairman Prasanna Wickremasooriya and Civil Aviation (DGCA) Director General Parakrama Dissanayake. Emirates was represented at the event by the Airline's Regional Manager Airport Services - West Asia, Indian Ocean and Sub Saharan Africa, P. K. Sadasivan Emirates Area Manager for Sri Lanka and the Maldives Chandana de Silva and Emirates Airport Services Manager Ravi Weliwita.

"The new office reflects our commitment to Colombo, where Emirates is the most active foreign airline," Weliwita said.
