Werakkody, a 23-years-old youth of Ambalangoda Dolphin Aquatic
Club won the 200 Men’s Open Swimming Championship held at the
Panadura River on Sunday. This was organized by the Panadura
Aquatic Club for the second successive year. |
Imasha
Sewwandi (on right), a 15-year-old member of the Ambalangoda
Aquatic Club won the 200 metres Open Swimming Competition held
at the Panadura River on Sunday and received the championship
for girls. The second place was secured by Isuri Wijesinghe (on
left), a 14-year-old student of the Panadura Leeds International
School.

on Sunday and received the championship award presented by the
Panadura Aquatic Club.
Two hundred and four boys and girls participated. He took 19 minute
and 44 seconds to finish the race.
The second place was secured by M. Navidu Nilanga Peiris, a
14-year-old student of the Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa. The girls
championship 200 metres swimming competition was won by Imasha Sewwandi
of the Ambalangoda Aquatic Club. She is a 15-year-old student of
Devananda College, Ambalangoda.
The second place was won by Isuri Wijesinghe, a 14-year-old student
of the Leeds International School, Panadura.
The 200 metres swimming competition was organised by the Panadura
Aquatic Club for the second time. Western Province Provincial Councillor
Wikum Gunasekera presented the awards. |
