New racing track at Mirigama

A new racing track named as Mirigama Super Racing Track will be launched tomorrow at Hakkurukumbura, Mirigama at 10.30 a.m.

The track 1.4 kilometres in length is a brainchild of Jayantha Perera.

It is the sole property of Perera who is a ardent motor racing fan who has spent over 50 million rupees for the project. This tarmac track will help all motor racing clubs in the country for their racing meets.

He had the fullest co-operation from one of the oldest motor racing clubs in the country Sri Lanka Motor Racing Club in constructing this new track.
