MASL helps Northern civilians

Muslim Aid Sri Lanka's (MASL) emergency relief teams are operating in Menik Farm Zones 2 and 4 providing field hospitals and clean drinking water. The field hospitals have a capacity to cater to 2,000 patients a day and the facility to perform minor surgeries.

In alliance with the Health Ministry, M/s Kuwait Hospital and Al Shabab are supporting these operations with the provision of ambulances and medical supplies. The field hospital in Zone 2 which was run in collaboration with the Consortium of Humanitarian Agencies (CHA) has now been converted into a Counselling, Physiotherapy Centre run by Handicap International. This hospital treats 30 patients daily basis.

Crutches, wheel chairs, tricycles, toilet chairs, bed pans, mattresses, hearing aids, water mattresses are provided for the needy.
