Pitt for 'Sherlock Holmes'

Brad Pitt

Warner Bros is in talks to set the screenwriting team of Kieran and Michele Mulroney to pen a sequel to this Christmas' release of 'Sherlock Holmes'.

Also there was a rumor that the studio was making Ritchie reshoot the ending of the first movie to accommodate a poke to a sequel by introducing Moriarty, Holmes' greatest nemesis.

In that rumor it was said that Brad Pitt was cast. The WB debunked the story but now it seems they want to get Pitt to play that role in the sequel.

According to the Risky Business Pitt will play longtime Holmes enemy Moriarty in the proposed sequel, although a deal has not been reached yet.

Guy Ritchie's 'Sherlock Holmes' stars Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams, Mark Strong, Kelly Reilly, Eddie Marsan and will open on December 25.
