SEC seminars

Changing the listing rules from April 1 2009, was an important measure undertaken by the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) to meet the growing demands and new developments taking place in the capital market in Sri Lanka. Therefore, it is of prime importance that Directors of all listed entities be informed of these new rules to ensure that all listing requirements are met on a continuous basis and good governance and best practices are advocated.

To facilitate the knowledge sharing, continuous training and development of the Directors of listed companies on these emerging trends and developments in the industry, the Financial Services Academy (FSA), the training, education and research arm of Sri Lanka Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will hold a series of seminars. The first seminar titled "Key Obligations of Listed Companies Under the New Listing Rules" will be held on September 29 from 1.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. at Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel.
