Superb 93 by Kithmal

An entertaining knock of 93 with 11 fours off 85 balls by Kithmal Wimalaweera on a dull and gloomy day helped Trinity College to score 223 for 9 at the end of first days play in their inter school cricket match against Sri Rahula College, Katugastota which began at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy yesterday. The match will lie continued today at 9.30 a.m.

For Sri Rahula College off-spinner Sunimal Dissanayake despite the wet ball bowled well to capture 5 for 47.

Trinity College 223 for 9 wicket in 44.5 over (Kithmal Wimalaweera 93, Kavinda Jayasuriya 16, Sameera Wijesuriya 12, Suresh Wickrema 20, Rushan Jaleel 16, Akila Jayasundera 26 not out, Tissa Sanjeewa 20, Sunimal Dissanayake 5 for 47, Roshan Subhasinghe 2 for 44).
