Carlton Cup Basketball Tournament:

Field Force Youth in 69-59 win

Field Force Youth Basketball Club defeated Moratuwa University by 69 points to 59 in the Carlton Cup Open Basketball Tournament ‘B’ Division match played at Police Park courts.

Field Force Youth BC wsa in the lead 43 points to 29 at half time.

Chathura Hewalunuwilage made valuable contribution for the winners scoring 16 points. Shihan Doole scored 13 points and Chameera Bandara got 10 points for the winning team.

While C.J. Liyanage collected 16 points for Moratuwa University, M.P. Karunaratne scored 13 points for the losers.

The inaugural Carlton Cup Open Basketball Tournament organised by Carlton Sports Club and Tharunyata Hetak Organization is being sponsored by Sri Lanka Telecom and Solex Engineering.

Participating Clubs:

‘A’ Division: Carlton BC, Colombo BC, Colombo Bulls BC, Otters Aquatic Club, Sri Lanka Police BC, Sri Lanka Air Force BC, Wennappuwa Knights BC, Wattala BC, Hurricane BC, Maldives, and T-Rex BC.

‘B’ Division: Buffaloes BC, Old Wesleyites BC, Jayawardenapura University, All Greens BC, Old Bens SC, Field Force Youth BC, Dehiwala YMCA, Sri Lanka Navy BC, Old Anandians BC, Kandy Cagers BC, Wennappuwa, Moratuwa University BC, Moratuwa BC, Sri Lanka Army BC, and Cambrians BC.
