Lunch parcels with human faeces found in Kamburupitiya

Some hoteliers and restaurant keepers in Kamburupitiya have been
found selling unhygienic food items containing human faeces matter.This
has been revealed after the testing of food samples by the Government
Analysts on the request of PHIs in the area, who had raided many of
these establishments recently.

Punters arrested
Bangalore Police arrested seven persons, who were found betting on
the India-Sri Lanka cricket match on Monday evening.
Ganja transporters nabbed
Ariyapala Wansathilake, Kurunegala Central special

Gokarella police arrested two persons transporting a stock of ganja
in a vehicle at Malsiripura.
The ganja weighing nearly 25 kilogrammes were neatly packed in
parcels.
Liquor smuggled from Lanka:
Two held
Two persons, including a Congress activist, were arrested in
Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday on charges of smuggling foreign liquor.
The liquor is suspected to have been smuggled from Sri Lanka.
Twenty-five bottles of foreign liquor worth about Rs 75,000 were
recovered from the two. The seized liquor included Johnnie Walker, Remy
Martin and Sri Lankan arrack.
