Journalist receives death threats in London

Journalist Janaka Alahapperuma who conducted a protest campaign in front of the English Channel 4 TV studios in UK for telecasting a doctored video footage tarnishing Sri Lanka's image has received several death threats, Transport Minister Dullas Alahapperuma said.

The Minister said journalist Alahapperuma had received 139 death threats so far which he had taped.

The Journalist had informed him that all these calls he received had been taped and on examination found that 26 of them originated from LTTE centres.
