Kadirgamar assassination case:
Prosecution allowed to remove names of Prabhakaran, Pottu Amman
Colombo High Court yesterday permitted the
prosecution to remove the names of LTTE leader Velupillai
Prabhakaran and Pottu Amman from the indictment filed in connection
with the former Foreign Minister Laksman Kadirgamar assassination
case.

Police apologize for illegal arrest
Four Police officers attached to the Avissawella
Police yesterday apologized to a salesman who had complained to the
Supreme Court against illegal arrest and detention. The petitioner
had also sought compensation in ten million rupees.
