Reunion

Can anybody other than
A mother describe
The joy and happiness
She feels and enjoys
When meeting and
Greeting with hugs
And kisses, her loving
Son who was away
In a foreign land
For fourteen long years?
We were miles apart
Physically but ever
Together mentally
Our bonds of love
And affection will
Glow steadfast
Day by day even
If endless miles
Separate us

Ode to God at Nedimala

Come, let us worship God Vishnu manifest
As He stands at the Tirupathi mountain crest
Not far off but at Nedimala shrine
Adorned with bow unique and disc divine

You go to Nedimala temple and pray
To God Vishnu with Thulasi in a tray
And be blessed with a life free from care
As well as Dame Fortune's graceful stare

You wouldn't be tormented by affliction
If only you pray once at this shrine sylvan,
With folded hands and thoughts in restrain,
To God Vishnu who on blue ocean recline

You go and pray to God Vishnu
At Nedimala, who came to the rescue
Of a forlorn elephant in distress
Riding on the wings of eagle by express

You go to Nedimala temple and worship
God Vishnu of emerald mien and lotus eyes
Lo and behold! You attain the world of Bliss
At the end of a life sans hardship

To the sunflower

Aroused by the freshness of The newly unfurled sunflower before the study:

O! sunflower, your ethereal intrigue
with the rising sun
Brings me the delight
To dive in the diurnal pleasure!
you stand tall teasing the Rose
That perfumes the air
To bring me the vigour!
You turn your stem
worshipping the sun
To represent the world of petals!
your golden radiance
That lasts for weeks
wakes up my soul,
Titillates my thoughts

O Sunflower! Blossom, blossom,
blossom and blossom!
Convince your mission to the world of passion.
Make me drunk with the bliss of living
Give the seeds the power
To brighten the world forever.

Dearest 'Skype'

Blinking eyes . . .
Gentle breeze teasing
Tinted curly hair . . .
Smiling lips . . .
Chattering . . .
What a lovely picture
Of my daughter,
On the screen.
God bless
Whoever discovered you!
The most wonderful discovery
Of this century.
'Skype'
Such a relief to
Every lonely parent.
But, Dear 'Skype'
Come to me in near future
With a new option
In a way to hug her,
Kiss her, to have her
All to myself
At least for a while
Just like . . . far off days . . .

The cuckoo bird Koo koo

Voicing loveliness and liveliness
Pleasing, drawing inquisitiveness
The babbling tone of
Babes, day-born
Looking to kindle and fondle
Comfortably nestle
Wresting in the shade
Taking tree as its shade
Cuckooing twenty plus five times
Musically - it rhymes
Pride of birds' sound
Proud amidst around
Lovers' siging in depth
The call for help
The eternal lovers' call
As if united-eternal
Sweetest voice
Swiftly voiced
Double beat once
Redoubling in turns
Flute read, tunes
Repeated - eight to ten tones
Precised rhythming,
Clockwork rhyming
Followed the next mornging
Heard voice heart rending
Confidence wresting,
Promising, compromising,
Call - innocently ending
Coming close proximity
For purpose of intimacy
Four beats and changed volumes
Cuckooing forty times
Make me think your tone is
True lovers' tonic
Rhythmic, repeated, double tones.
Time precision in phones
Felt, in calls, sentiments
Steadily raising in tones,
Call ends up fast, in prudence
In an evening; followed by raining
Hearing loveliest dialogue!
In reality a monologue!
The organic beating,
Overwhelming - defeating,
Eighteen beats - three variations
After every six beat, sound raising
The sensitive tone
On rainy, windy nights, ye own
Calling for company and help
Until the rains wound up
In one fine month
Listened: communion tone
Koo koo
