Wlodarczyk suffers hammer blow

Poland's hammer world record holder Anita Wlodarczyk has been forced to sit out the rest of the season because of a foot injury sustained when she celebrated her world title victory in Berlin, the PAP news agency reported Thursday. The 24-year-old set a new world record of 77.96m at the championships in Germany last month, but after leaping for joy she landed badly and damaged ligaments in her foot.
