Denham 92 helps Colombo South win

Peterite Denham Perera blitzed with sparkling 92 runs with 10 hits to the ropes and four over and associated in an opening stand of 128 runs with D.G. Hondamunige who made 50 runs to gain an easy six wicket victory for Colombo South ‘A’ over Ratnapura in their Inter-district Under-17 Cricket Tournament match organised by SLC.

Taking the first lease visitors were all out for 167 runs with Gayan Kapuge contributing 42 runs. Sahan Amarasinghe bagged four for 13 for the homesters. Colombo South ‘A’ has emerged as unbeaten group leaders.

Ratnapura: 167 (Gayan Kapuge 42, Ishara Devinda 33, Sahan Amerasinghe 4/13, M.Z. Osman 3/22).

Colombo District ‘A’: 169/4 (Denham Perera 92, D.G. Hondamunige 50, Gayan Kapuge 2/34).
