SLFP National Convention on grand scale

The National Convention of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party marking its 58th anniversary would be held on November 15 in Colombo with the participation of more than 5,000 party officials after the victory of the UPFA in the Southern Provincial Council elections, Leader of the House and Healthcare and Nutrition Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva said at a press conference at the Mahaveli Centre, Colombo yesterday. Even the SLFP’s foreign branch representatives had indicated their willingness to participate in the convention this time and a special identity card is to be issued to the participants, the Minister said.

Some political party leaders of other countries too have been invited for the SLFP convention which would be celebrated on a grand scale, he noted.
