penultimate day of the 12th IAAF World Championships at the
Olympiastadion here last night.

Kandy crush Havelocks - 102/3
Kandy Sports Club registered their highest ever
total against Havelocks Sports Club when they crushed them by 102
points (11 goals, five tries) to 3 (one penalty) to enter the
semi-final of the Caltex Clifford Cup Knock-out Rugby Tournament in
the quarter final match played at Nittawela yesterday. At halt time
Kandy SC had virtually wrapped up the game leading 52-0.

CH in superb 24-6 win
CH and FC propelled by their power-packed
forwards scored a superb 24 points (two goals, two tries) to 6 (two
penalties) win over Sri Lanka Army in the quarter-final of the
Caltex Knock-out Rugby Tournament for the Clifford Cup played at
