Sanduni helps Seylan win

Sanduni Bollegala with a top score of 33 points helped Seylan Bank defeat Hatton National Bank 66-61 in a Mercantile 'A' Division women's league Basketball fixture at Otter AC courts. Others who made valuable contributions to the winners were Benika Talagola and Raseni Karunaratne 12 points each. At half time winners led 35-34.

In a 'C' Men's game Nations Trust Bank beat HSBC 67 points to 65 at half time NTB in front 31-17. Top scorers for winners were Danajaya Wijendre 18, Anura Fernando 16 and R. Roshan 12. Ruwan Muttalip (24) G. Pinto 32, Collected points for losers.

The Tournament organised by MSBA is sponsored by HNB.
