First woman chairperson of CMTA

Rasheed, was elected Chairperson of the Ceylon Motor Traders Association
at its 89th AGM held at the Galadari Hotel recently.
The Ceylon Motor Traders Association was founded in Dec 1919 and has
an illustrious history of almost 90 years.
Rasheed created history by becoming the first lady to hold this
prestigious position.
She succeeded CEO of Carmart Senaka Amerasinghe, who completed his
two year term.
Rasheed has a distinguished career in Marketing and holds a Diploma
in Marketing from CIM (UK) and an MBA from the University of Ceylon
(Colombo Campus).
She has also served as a Senior Consultant at the Open University.
She has served in both multinational and local companies and has vast
experience in general management, business administration, marketing
management, area management, product development and selling and has
held senior management positions during the last 24 years.
She has served as an active member in the Executive Committee since
the year 2000 and was elected Vice Chairman of the Association in 2007
and was unanimously elected as the Chairperson this year.
