MoU to set-up language and IT skills centre

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Vocational Training Authority and W.W.R. Resilience International Institute of Higher Learning (RIIHL), Netherlands to set up the first State governed centre for Excellence in Language Skills and Information Communication Technology (ICT) in Rajagiriya recently.

It will contain high-tech Audio video conferencing language labs, satellite based and online learning.

The Centre will cater to youths and equip them with not only technical skills but also language and IT skills.

Vice President and International Dean RIIHL (the Netherlands) Prof. Dr. Lakshman Madurasinghe, President of Worldwide Resilience and Resilience International Institute of Higher Learning Prof. Dr. Cees Torre, Dean, RIIHL (the Netherlands) Dr. Fans Van Dunne, Director General (SUNFO), Dr. Deshapriya S. Wijesinghe, Youth Director (SUNFO), Ranmali Gunawardena were present on the occasion.
