Faizer Mustapha visits Beruwala

Holds talks with paties to conflict:

Tourism Minister Faiz Mustapha visited the Beruwala area yesterday to observe the situation prevailing in the area after the recent conflict between two groups of Muslims as a Member of Parliament representing the Muslim Community on the direction of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Minister Mustapha held talks with both parties to the conflict and directed the security authorities to pursue legal action and made a request from both parties not to take the law into their own hands.

The Minister also visited the homes of the families who had lost members and condoled with them on behalf of the Government and he visited the injured persons and inquired about the condition of the seriously injured from the doctors at the hospital a press release from the Tourism Ministry said yesterday.
