Amana Takaful soccer champs

Amana Takaful Insurance emerged champions beating Lake House 3-2 in a penalty shoot out in the final of the Mercantile seven-a-side soccer tournament final played at Reid Avenue last Saturday.

John Keels Holdings won the plate championship beating HSBC 4-3 in another penalty shoot out.

On their way to the final, Amana Takaful beat HSBC, Union Bank, HSBC in the quarter final and Hirdaramani Group in the semi-final.

Lake House beat SCBA, Softlogic in the quarter final who were last year's Division I runner up and Commercial Bank in the semis.

The tournament was sponsored by National Lotteries Board, Dialog, Prinmax, Seylan Bank, Brittania Cables, Mt. Lavinia Hotel, Colombo Dockyard, Hirdaramani and John Keels.
