Lak Sathosa outlets in fishery harbours

Lak Sathosa outlets are to be opened in fishery harbours on the request of fishermen's cooperative societies and the first such Lak Sathosa outlet would be opened at the Beruwala fishery harbour within two weeks Trade Commerce and Cooperatives Minister Bandula Gunawardena told the Daily News yesterday.

On the request of the Fishery Harbours Corporation Chairman Asanka Abeygunawardena, minister Gunawardena inspected the Beruwala fishery harbour premises along with the officials of the harbour and with the fishermen yesterday to facilitate the new Lak Sathosa outlet at the Beruwala fishery harbour.

The second such Lak Sathosa outlet would be opened at the Trincomalee fishery harbour for fishermen who need to take large quantities of food items when they go fishing for longer periods and this would enable them to buy quality food stuff at a reasonable prices, the Minister said.
