Rogue elephant captured

Sigiri Gujan, the most ferocious raider and destroyer of public property and lives of many, was captured by the wildlife officers at life risking effort last night some 20 kilometre away from Sigiriya.

This wild rogue who created a tense situation in the Sigiriya area became a public issue with complaints that wildlife authorities were inactive.

According to wildlife officers the operation was a fight between life and death.
