Kandy Esala Perahera:

Over 6,000 Police personnel on duty


A police contingent of over 6000 personnel will be deployed for official (security) duties in Kandy during the Kandy Esala Pageant period, said DIG (Central Province) Gamini Navaratne.This will include 3500 personnel deployed from outstations, he said.
