The club which call upon the competitors to be prepared with the 3 Ms, Mind, Mussel and Machine is bound to test it all, the competitors who dare to come forward to take up the challenge in the Extreme Category of the event will be tested with the toughest obstacles in extreme conditions.

The long Special Stages stretching up to several kilometers will certainly be more than a challenge even for the most experienced drivers in the country. For the first time the Touring Adventurer category is introduced to an event of this nature with intentions to promote a new 4 x 4 culture in Sri Lanka.

The event will be flagged off from Negombo and will be headed towards the North West part off the country. The Extreme Category competitors will be put to test through several natural water crossing, extreme muddy terrains, long sand runs and dune climbs. Most parts of the competition terrains are selected amongst natural obstacles to give the entire competition a flavour of an expedition making this event enjoyable while being extremely challenging.

A grand finale and a prize giving will be held at the Negombo beach on the 6th of July at 5.30 p.m. With dignitaries gracing the event.

The Tharunayate Hetak foundation head Namal Rajapakse has continuously supported 4x4 racing and has encouraged the organizes to take this event to International level.

Next year the 4 X 4 Adventure club is expecting to open this event to Internationally famed top drivers and make this an annual event in the international 4x4 calendar showcasing Sri Lanka to the world, as another top sports tourism venue.

This event is fully supported by Neomal Perera (MP) Deputy Minister of Fisheries & Aquatic resources and Western Provincial Council Minister Nimal Lanka, in whose electoral areas this event will be mostly held.

The main sponsor Mobitel have given the club its encouragement and support to take this sport to another level, and also enhanced communication along the remote routes, and have arranged to provide 3G broad band access to keep the 4 X 4 community updated of the competition day to day on a very effective basis.
