Golden Key case:

Court to act only on JMO's reports

Mount Lavinia Chief Magistrate and Additional District Judge Harsha Sethunga, hearing the alleged Golden Key Credit Card fraud, said the Court will act only on medical reports submitted to court by the JMO in respect of the suspects who are suffering from serious illnesses.

The Judge made this observation when Shamila Amarawickrema, counsel for a suspect, submitted that her client is suffering from cancer and had to obtain special treatment from the Colombo National Hospital.

The Judge further remanded the suspects of the till July 16.

The Judge reserved the order in respect of Chairman Lalith Kotalawela for July 16, as his bail application is pending before the Colombo High Court. The case will be called again on July 16.
