Unbeaten Kandy Sports Club head points table

Defending champions Kandy Sports Club which kept their unbeaten
record intact by overcoming their closest challengers CR and FC by 17
points to 12 at Longden Place on Sunday continue to head the Caltex 'A'
Division League Rugby Points table with 31.00 points from seven outings.
The lads from Kandy who are hoping to retain the league rugby title
for a record ninth successive year have also scored 43 tries - which
includes eleven tries in their runaway 73-12 win over Havelocks.
CR and FC which last won the 'A' Division League Title in 1998 are
lying in second place with 27.00 points from seven outings having
crossed the opponents goal line on 32 occasions.
The Sri Lanka Army which is enjoying their best season in recent
years are in third place with 20.00 points from seven games having
notched up five victories.
The Sri Lanka Navy which is taking part in the 'A' Division League
after a lapse of three years is also having a good season registering
four wins in seven games to end up in fourth place at the end of the
first round.
