Triple murder

Police yesterday recovered the bodies of three family members inside a house at Nawa Janapadaya, Pattipola.

The dead have been identified as a 60-year-old mother, her daughter, 28, and grand daughter, 3, who were murdered several days ago, police said.

Police also found another child missing from the home at the time of the incident. This triple murder has come to light following a complaint lodged by the daughter’s husband from Mahiyanganaya. He had telephoned the house and as there had been no response, he had complained to police.

Police recovered the bodies later.
