Pahan Pooja blesses President

President Mahinda Rajapaksa participated in an 84,000 pahan pooja pinkama held at the Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya on Monday afternoon. The pinkama was held to invoke blessings on the President, Defence Secretary, Security Forces chiefs, IGP and all members of the Security Forces for liberating the country from terrorism.

The President on arrival at the temple participated in religious observances and the Viharadhipathi Ven. Dr. Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangharakkita Nayake Thera chanted seth pirith and invoked blessings on the President who later held a discussion with the Thera and inquired about his well-being.

Ministers Mervyn Silva and Dallas Alahapperuma were also present.
