A lecture on paranormal phenomena

A public lecture on practical problems faced by investigators when conducting spot visits to examine paranormal phenomena or superstitions, will be conducted in Sinhala on June 26 at 4 pm at the Guru Medura hall, located along the road running next to the People's Bank headquarters in Colombo 2.

The lecture will be conducted by senior journalist Tilak Senasinghe, who has researched such phenomena and authored several books on the subject.

The lecture is open to anyone who is interested in the subject, states the organizers of Sri Lanka Rationalists' Association.


Lecture on Language of Poetry

Author of many publications, academic papers on cultural studies, literary studies and cinema, Professor Wimal Dissanayake will deliver a lecture in both English and Sinhala titled 'New Trend in the Language of Poetry' and Kavi Base Nava Pravanatha will be held at the Namel-Malini Punchi theatre, Borella, on June 18 at 4.p.m. Prof. Dissanayake will also read some of his poetry during the session.
