Iran: US boosts instability

Iran: Iran accused the United States on Thursday of having an effect on the worsening of events unleashed after the recent presidential election, while also appealing for national unity.

In a communique published in this capital, the government called Washington's questioning of supposed vote robbery and fraud in the reelection of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, an intolerable interference.

The street protests unleashed during the past weekend were organized by followers of ex Prime Minister Mir-Hossein Mousavi, a reformist and presidential candidate, who denounced the electoral results as fraud.
