Tiger protests cost London police £8m

London had to pay dearly for the disturbances caused by pro-LTTE protestors in the metropolis in recent weeks while the Sri Lankan Arms Forces were defeating the terrorist group in the North, the Evening Standard newspaper published in London said in a special story yesterday.
