Annual Sri Lanka Malaysia Business Awards

The Sri Lanka - Malaysia Business Council (SLMBC) which functions under the aegis of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will hold its fifth annual Sri Lanka Malaysia Business Awards presentation on August 11. Dialog is the Event Sponsor and Mechmar Cochran Lanka (Pvt) Ltd is another Sponsor for the Awards presentation.

The main objective of the Council is to promote trade, joint ventures, tourism and services between Sri Lanka and Malaysia. The Council in continuation with its policy of creating awareness and encouraging members to engage themselves in promotional activities has organised the fifth Annual Awards Presentation.

This event is being held to recognize the contribution made by members to the growth of Sri Lanka's economy and as expected, has generated a new enthusiasm among members over the past four years. This year the Awards will be for the following 11 categories - Manufacturers and Exporters of Jewellery and Gems ,Manufacturers and Exporters of Household and Consumable Products, Manufacturers and Exporters of Industrial Products, Importers / Distributors / Retailers of Raw Material, Importers / Distributors / Retailers of Finished products and Semi finished products, Hospitality and Hospitality Related Travel, Transport and Logistics, Information Technology, Infrastructure Project and Services, Financial and Related Services and Professional and Consultancy Services.

"The fifth Sri Lanka Malaysia Business Award Presentation will serve as an opportunity for the business community to reacquaint themselves and as a platform to contribute to Malaysia and Sri Lanka's economic growth and well-being" High Commissioner for Malaysia in Sri Lanka and Patron of the Council Rosli Ismail told the press conference.
