What next?

Terrorism that plagued our country
It's now over what shall we do next?
With crosswise thinking
let's take steps
To prevent the recurrence
of this curse

Lands wrested from
Sinhala Muslim folk
put to flight with arms
and terror should be returned
through common land laws
That prevail alike in
the North and South

Sinhala, Muslim, Burgher policemen
Sent in the North like Tamil policemen
Being sent to the South to foster unity
and prevent any future clashes.

Temples, churches, mosques destroyed
By the terrorists be reconstructed
Let's make the Madu area common
to all by building temples and churches.

Having Hindu Gods in temples
has set the correct example for unity.
Let's adopt such steps even now
For Hindu, Buddhist,
Christian and Islam unity

Camps captured from
terrorists in the North
Be made into army camps for soldiers.
Let's bow our heads to our heroic soldiers
and erect villages for them in the North.

We'll never feel this country is ours
until distorted village names Palali,
Vadukkodai, Mulativu, Vakarei
are changed back to Balalla, Vadugoda,
Mulleduwa Vekaraya

Let's help Tamil children
to rise even higher
By studying the common langauge
Sinhala
Public schools let's have common to all
Sharing a common language for unity

Dividing us to nine provinces

Let's return to the three divisions of yore

The Mahaweli, Kalu, Kelani,
Walawe rivers
That wash the sacred

Provide three natural divisions for us
Let's use them to banish all evils.

Let's have a President's
University in Jaffna
To teach the correct history
of our land With a common
syllabus for the entire land
To stop all divisions and conflicts all

Roads that speedily connect the North,
East, West, South and Central hills
To foster unity and for security of all
Have four ports around
the country with coastal
security strengthened well

Let Colombo remain the
commercial capital
Let's change the political
capital to Anuradhapura
That was how we proposed
then It is the most
suitable till the end of the Kalpa.
