ALBA calls for crisis debates
Czech Repulic: The countries, members of the Bolivarian Alternatives
of the Americas plus Ecuador demanded in Prague on Wednesday a deep and
extensive debate over the world economic crisis.
ALBA lauded the strengthening of links between the EU and GRIO at the
14th Ministerial Conference of EU-G Rio, during which a Joint
Declaration was adopted on Wednesday.
“We stress the importance of the exchange of ideas during the debates
that took place in Prague, with commercial and economic cooperation and
the use of renewable energy sources issues high on the agenda”, ALBA
countries say. Venezuela, Bolivia, Honduras, Nicaragua and Cuba, plus
Ecuador, expressed their concern over the economic and financial
situation worldwide, in a communique distributed to media.
We ratify once more that the solutions for the global economic crisis
must be taken in a collective and extensive debate, in which we all have
the possibility to participate, as to ensure those solutions do not come
from exclusion groups.
EU-G Rio Ministerial Conference in Prague has ended its sessions and
will begin the encounters of EU Troika with Chile, Mexico, Central
