Sampath Bank partners Ranaviru Commemorative Flag Day
The Ranaviru Commemorative Flag Day and Month, is an annual national
event that pays tribute to the heroes who have laid their lives to
safeguard the sovereignty of our land, organised by the Ministry of
Finance and State Revenue and the Ranaviru Seva Authority.
The commemoration activities fall throughout the month beginning from
May 07 to June 07. The proceeds of sale of Flags will be deposited at
the Ranaviru Fund to be utilised for the welfare of the war heroes and
their families.
Sampath Bank is honoured to be partnering this noble venture by
facilitating the sale of Ranaviru Commemorative Flags at their branches.
A notable donation was made to the Ranaviru Welfare Fund by the
bank-the cheque of which was handed over to the Minister of Finance and
State Revenue Ranjith Siyambalapitiya at the inauguration ceremony held
at the Sampath Centre on May 12.
The Sampath Team has demonstrated their continuous commitment to
bettering the circumstances of all layers of the society by actively
engaging in several activities that partner the welfare and
rehabilitation efforts of the Ranaviru Seva Authority.
The Sampath team has already proceeded with an independent project to
provide artificial limbs to the Ranaviru Sevana for which the funds were
raised as a voluntary effort that came through the team's desire to
server, those who served.
