Troops find metal structure

Security Forces in the last leg of the humanitarian operation to rescue the remaining civilians trapped in the No Fire Zone have made a startling recovery of a huge cylindrical metal structure in Irattavaikkal belonging to the LTTE.

Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said troops engaged in the search operation after the LTTE was defeated from Irattavaikkal have unearthed a huge cylindrical metal structure which troops in the battlefield had never seen.
