The Buddhist Association of Yasodara
Ladies College in Colombo in line with their Vesak celebrations,
took steps to donate a variety of goods which were in urgent
need for ‘Indrarama’ Viharaya located in remote Morawewa,
Mahadivulwewa which was earlier threatened due to terrorist
activities. Here the visiting Chief Incumbent of the temple Ven.

The Welfare Society of the Community
Development and Social Inequity Eradication Ministry held a
Dhamma Deshana by Senior Lecturer, Colombo University and
Bodhirajaramadhipathi, Rawatawatte, Moratuwa, Ven. Agalakada
Sirisumana Thera at the Ministry on Wednesday to mark the Vesak

State and private sector institutions and
the people of Gampola donated 7,000 packets of cooked meals and
6,000 bottles of drinking water to assist displaced civilians in
the North under a program organized by Plantation Industries

Dry rations worth Rs. 300,000 donated by
the Sri Lanka Nidahas Sevaka Sangamaya of Mahaweli Authority was
handed over to Agriculture Development and Agrarian Services
Minister Maithripala Sirisena by the Union Treasurer Sujeewa
Shaiman at the Ministry’s office recently. Union President
S.M.B.J. Silva and other officials of the Union are looking on. |
